School of Nursing Alumni and Giving
A Future Built on Your Word.
Our institution was created by the caring voices of those who worked to advance the quality and scope of medical care. Since its foundation by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word to minister to the sick and poor, Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing & Health Professions students, faculty, alumni, donors, and partners have come together with a mission — to make South Texas and the world a healthier place.
Please help us as we create future healthcare leaders. Your time, mentoring, and resources help us to build stronger graduates and ensure the long-term success of the programs.

“Nuclear Medicine gave me the greatest educational gift I never knew I needed. It gave me a degree that opened any door I wanted to go through after graduating as well as a six-figure salary in a time where so many college graduates worry about how they will pay for student loans and where they will be hired. I’m so lucky to have a career with so many possibilities.”

“As an alum, to come back and work for the university is a great experience. Through my time at Incarnate Word as a student, I really started to believe in the program, believe in the faith-based university, a school based on integrity and values. It’s great to work with them on this initiative.”
