Mr. Pedraza joined the Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing and Health Professions in August 2016, after serving as a clinical teaching assistant with the clinical learning center. He coordinates and teaches the advanced Medical-Surgical course in the undergraduate program, both didactic and clinical supervision.

Mr. Pedraza served 28 years of faithful and honorable naval service and retired as a Commander. He returned to UIW because "It was a goal of mine to come teach and give back to our future nursing leaders, which was what Incarnate Word bestowed on me."
