Students who plan a program of study leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology or Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology must follow the admissions process for the University. Select the Kinesiology academic program with one of the three available concentrations.
Kinesiology degree options at UIW
UIW offers two kinesiology degrees. The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology has concentrations in Exercise Science and Coaching and Leadership, preparing students for careers in fitness, coaching, sport and health-related fields or for graduate study.
The Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology – Physical Education Teacher Certification prepares students to teach physical education from early childhood through grade 12. Students who complete program and Texas certification requirements may apply for state teaching certification.
